The arrival of Christmas always makes people happy, me included! It’s by far my favorite time of the year since I’ve lived in the United States…the chill is in the air, lots of spectacular Christmas trees with colorful ornaments hanging and a shining star on top, holiday music, and a joyous feeling of goodness, kindness and celebration.
One of my favorite things during the holidays other than spending time with my loved ones and shopping (you may think sales are is ended on Black Friday and Cyber Monday…think again!) is dressing for the festivities! With Christmas Day right around the corner followed by New Year Eve, I thought I’d share some of my favorite holiday outfit ideas.
- If you want sparkle: Sequin Long Sleeve Suit & Python Sandals with Super Wide Brim Hat
I’m a sucker for all things that sparkle when it comes to the holiday season and nothing says; “It’s holidays!” like a chic and sparkle sequin outfit. Dark metallic is a classic shade for a party sparkly outfit, so it’ll be a staple in your closet for years to come. Pair it with any pumps or mules to add an extra special touch. If you want to be able to move around and dance, a pair of mules will do a good job! For a more dramatic and diva-level sparkle; top off your head with a super wide brim felt hat.
Hat style tips: go with a black or white wide brim hat if you want to keep it a sleek monochromatic look (either black or white, these colors will pick up the accented color from the suit). If you can’t always commit to a classic black or white look and want to add an extra playful feature into your outfit, a dash of color on your head is so flattering! I love my Spanish Blue Hat by Vlada Kabatyanskaya as it’s a fashion statement hat that can go with a plain outfit like a t-shirt with jeans to a glam outfit like a smart suit or cocktail dress.
Extra style point: touch up with bold lipstick such as red will give you more pulled together look.
