One Hat, Three Ways: Last Minute Comfy and Chic Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas For Hat Lovers

As much as I would like to plan everything ahead, I’ve been busy these last few weeks so I didn’t have much time to plan ahead of time for my holiday outfit possibilities (as I would prefer).

In case you are like me and need a few holiday outfit ideas at the spur of the moment, I wanted to put together these last minute Thanksgiving outfit ideas that you can throw together within minutes. You can build three outfits around just one hat (If you don’t want to wear a hat on your Turkey Day, these outfits are still good to go!) I intend to create these looks with essential staples that I believe most of us should have some variation of in your closet. But as always, it’s the beginning of the holidays, so it’s always worth it to add some fresh pieces to your wardrobe (…and I’ve got you covered especially with all these sales this week!).

Sweater Dress + Over The Knee Boots

For some reason, I always think of sweaters as the coziest staples to wear (bonus points for a loose fitting waist). Pair your favorite oversized sweater dress with over the knee boots and you’ll be as festive as you can be. Styling tip: you can add a belt to define your waist or to give a slouchy dress some shape (for me, I will pass a belt for this one special occasion…no belt, no worry!). The additional of a hat gives the whole outfit a fresh twist.

For a more low-key feast, t-shirt and flare jeans are always a good call. Toss on a check patterned blazer on top and an asymmetrical hat; you’ll look stylish without trying too hard.

When in doubt, wear an all black outfit. I don’t think there’s anything more appropriate than a sleek and chic all black outfit for Thanksgiving dinner. And if you want a sassy touch: add a fun scarf/vest – it will instantly elevate the look and makes you look distinctive. Top your head with a fedora hat to complete the look.
