I Have A Thing For Emily In Paris Fashion Trends With Berets And Bucket Hats – Here’s How I Scored The Looks For Less

Emily in Paris is currently such a popular Netflix show (and I’ve been binge-watching reruns already…totally can’t wait for season 2). The show is a fun escape to one of my favorite cities, especially this time when I can’t travel there in person, so it has me dreaming of all the spots I want to visit next time I’m there and the Emily Cooper-inspired outfits I’ll be packing in my suitcase.

Seeing as Emily in Paris outfits through American point of view is all about standing out and embracing who she is through her out-of-the-box colors and patterns mixing wardrobe. I’m swooned. Also It’s no secret that I love colors and cute hats, so you can guess this show is just right up my alley (which doesn’t happen so often). After the show was finished, I immediately set out myself to recreate Emily in Paris looks through my eyes. As soon as I hit Google search for “Emily in Paris outfits”, I quickly realized most of the outfits are from top designer brands which don’t fit with my bank account. (No shame because the “cool it-girl” look is about style, not brands). With a little bit of ambition and a lot of effort, I found similar looks to help us all live somewhat fantasy and stylish like Emily Cooper wherever you are in the world (if you live in Paris, lucky you!).

Checked Blazer Suit And Red Beret

Why I’m obsessed: A blazer suit is my ultimate wardrobe hero and this black-and-white gingham jacket and skirt with the red beret nail the French-girl chic look every time.

How I wear them: With a fitted white crop top or a knitwear underneath the blazer (depending on the weather). Then finish with sleek black boots and a gold tone chain necklace.

Colorful Layered Outfit And Kangol Pink Bucket Hat

Why I’m obsessed: I love bucket hat anything but there’s something so chic about this biggest hat trend of the year that makes me feel like a little extra cool when I wear it…and it’s Kangol – what else would I need?

How I wear them: Simply bundling up with different textures will keep a layer handy and interesting (the studded skirt, colorful dress, knitted vest, and tailored blazer are my favorite style elements – so polished without looking trying too hard.

Sporty Chic Ensemble And Houndstooth Tweed Beret

Why I’m obsessed: If there’s one lesson I learned from this show, it’s to never shy away from pairing different colors and prints together. I actually find this look speaking to me, not just in term of oh-so-chic and playful style but season-appropriate temperatures changes throughout a day. Oh, can we talk about houndstooth tweed print; my favorite fabric for the season.

How I wear them: I love the juxtaposition of pairing the sporty jacket and the playful shirtdress, crop-top jacket and breaking out the white boots to tie with the colors of my tweed beret. There’s never too overdressed in my book.
