If you haven’t already stumbled upon Lorna Murray Apparel in your Instagram feed, I recommend that you become familiar with it – just in time for warm sunny days ahead. There’s something about Lorna Murray Apparel that brings me so much joy and delight. The vibrant colors and bold patterns are what drew me to them and to be honest the patterns and the fabrics remind of my South East Asia heritage (Some of them look like Thai reed mats that I used for picnics growing up in Thailand). After learning a bit more about the brand, I’ve grown to love them even more. Lorna Murray is a Sydney, Australia based fashion designer, textile artist and university lecturer. Her combination of textiles and fashion gave birth to the Brand. The Lorna Murray Brand is an ethical and sustainable Australian-based label that is carefully handcrafted by artisans in South East Asia (the part of the world that I came from), with 100% natural grass fibers and minimal environment impact. It doesn’t get sweeter!
Their signature structured pleated brim with unique stripe patterns has me feeling boho-modern. I love how their hats are designed to collapse and fold like origami, so you will avoid a crushed or misshapen hat when you travel – easy to pack in a suitcase, tote bag or purse! Dreamy, beautiful and practical…Sold.

Zanzibar Spice | Island Capri
This is not your average sunhat; however, this mid-length inspired bucket hat is ultra-flattering on just about everyone. It’s an impeccably cool-add-on from the boyish fit to maxi dress. To me, this is a kind of hat that allows you to make a statement without saying a word. Not even to mention the sun protection it provides. One thing that I love about this hat that it comes with a chin strap, so it’s very handy for a windy day. You can also tie it around the neck and let it drapes down on the back in case you want to be hands free and you don’t have any bag with you.
Miami Capri
When I love something so much, I have at least two pieces of the same model in different colors. This Miami Capri is the same style as Zanzibar Spice hat, but it’s very charming and sweet with soften colored palettes. I definitely plan on wearing them with floral dresses and all cute summer outfits when the weather warms up. I honestly can’t wait to dress up and travel the world again (with Lorna Murray Apparel hats of course!)

Here’s proof that the visor trend can look ultra-chic. Thanks Lorna Murray Apparel for the sporty and stylish take on a visor hat! The simple silhouettes and muted palettes have me wanting to escape to the ocean or a sunny bike ride – something you could wear anywhere, really. This type of hat will for sure keep you head breezy. It allows you to keep your hair off your neck with an easy updo.
With fabric ties at the back makes it a great option to secure and adjust to the perfect fit either you have a small or big head. I seriously love every bit of this hat.
